The Cleveland Browns are the worst in the NFL right now.  That’s no surprise.  But there seems to be no end in sight.  So, what makes this season different from years’ past?

Let’s look at some facts:

They have gone through 7 quarterback changes through the course of what has become a winless season, setting a club record.

The Browns are the first since 1965 to let the opposing team score 30 or more points in each of the first ten games.

For the first time in franchise history the Browns have gone under .500 with an all time record of 461-463-10 and could eventually be only the 6th team in NFL history to go 0-16 in the regular season.

Everyone knew that it was going to be a challenge for the Browns to win games this season with the current 53 man roster, at least a dozen of them rookies, but the complete lack of defensive effort and no credible playmakers on offense has left the team in the worst position of its almost 67 year history.

The NFL draft will be here soon and one has to wonder if the league can somehow step in.  The Cleveland Browns product is simply not professional football.

With a winless season will come talk of starting over yet again and the possibility of releasing some longtime players.  At this point maybe they should.  Who can say?

The reason for playing professional sports has always been to win a championship.  If the front office of the Cleveland Browns expect the fans to be filling the stadium each week until it finally figures this out, well, they are mistaken.

Another season of losing, rebuilding, and then trying to find a decent quarterback is ahead for this team unless the NFL decides to enter the fold and make things right.

The fans just want to win (a game).
